The Gear I Use

Below is the gear I use, with the links to the brands’ websites.

Cameras

Sony α7 II (discontinued)
The model is currently at its fourth generation, which you can check out here.

Sony α6700
I purchased this camera to become my travel companion when I fly and want to save space and weight. Though I found out that the body was not that much smaller than my full-frame, the stock 18-135mm lens is smaller than any of the ones I use on it. You can check it out here.

Drone

DJI Mini 3

Tripods

The big one: Vanguard VEO 3+ 263AB BH-160S

That’s the one I take with me when I travel by road and when I shoot at night with the full-frame camera and the big lenses.

The compact one: Peak Design aluminum travel tripod

When I fly or go for a walk, that’s the one I take with me. It’s a good combo with my APS-C camera when space comes at a premium. Fully deployed, it’s about my height, but once it’s all folded, it fits in my backpack with room to spare. It has served me really well, and I highly recommend it!

Bag

As with the tripod, I rely on a Peak Design product to carry my gear: Everyday Backpack 30L
To carry my camera outside of my bag, ready for action, I use the Capture clip, which uses the same attachment as the tripod. That means I don’t need to screw and unscrew different brackets all the time!

Straps

You may be starting to see a pattern here, but I’m using the Peak Design Slide, and also the Cuff. They can both attach and detach quickly if I want to take them off when I put the camera on the tripod.
